There’s no place like Alaska. I have lived here for thirty-eight years, first arriving on New Year’s Eve, 1978. Initially, I lived in Anchorage. I then moved to Kodiak but returned to Anchorage in 2009 in order to be closer to my children. I am proud to have worked in public service for almost 20 years, first as mayor of the Kodiak Island Borough, from 2001 to 2004, then in the State House from 2005 to 2009 and from 2012 up to now. I have worked hard for every community that I have ever been a part of and will continue to do so.
I believe that in order to represent people, you have to know them. I have repeatedly gone door to door to meet my neighbors, listen to them, and learn about what I can do to help. You deserve an honest, committed state representative who will work hard to make Muldoon and JBER (Elmendorf) a great place to live and work. I have met many of my neighbors over the last four years and I look forward to meeting more of you. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
In Alaska, we have a great responsibility on our hands to promote and protect our people, our land, and our prosperity. East Anchorage has a lot of room to thrive. Let’s rise to the challenge and make our community an even better place to live, work, and play.
